Folders - Using and Adding[edit | edit source]

A piece in MusicReader can be added to one or more folders.

Inside the library you can select a folder to only show files inside that folder and it's subfolders.

In this section we will describe how to add and use folders.

Using & Managing Folders in Library[edit | edit source]

The main usage of folders is to limit the files shown in the library.

So you can then have it for example show files of a single ensemble / band / orchestra .

The library shows files from both the selected folder and it's subfolders.

In Image 3 we show the procedure for limiting the library to a folder.

First you press 1 which will make dropdown 2 appear.

Here you can select the folder to which you want to limit the library.

After you have done that the library will only show the pieces in that folder (and subfolders).

If you want to manage the listed folders then you press "Manage Folders" 3.

Then you see the screen shown in Image 4.

Here you can select a folder in 1.

Then you can add a subfolder by using "Add Folder" 2. This folder will be placed inside the folder selected.

Image 4 - Adding and Removing Folders

If you press "Remove Folder" 3 then the selected folder will be removed, together with it's subfolders.

This action will not remove any pieces inside your library, they will remain and will still be available under "Complete Library".
