Removing files inside MusicReader can be done in multiple ways.
In this section we will describe them.
Single Files[edit | edit source]
Removing of files inside MusicReader is done inside the Library.
This is shown in Image 1.
In the Library you go to "Edit" 1 and then "Edit Pieces" 2.
Then you can remove pieces with the red X on the left 3.
Multiple Files / Batch Delete[edit | edit source]
Sometimes you might need to remove multiple pieces from your library.
Then it's easier to use the "Mass Edit" option.
This option is available in "Full Menu" under "Library & Management".
There you get the screen shown in Image 2.
First select the "Batch Delete" option at the top. 0
Then you can select the pieces you want to remove in the lower area 1.
They will then appear in the list on top 2. You can remove them from that list by clicking on them.
You can also add the shown pieces to the removal list by pressing "Select All" 3.
(Warning! If you do this with the Complete Library then you complete library will be added for removal.)
After your list is complete you press "Remove Select" 4.
Then you need to confirm to remove the pieces.
Clear Complete Library[edit | edit source]
There are situations where you might want to clear the complete library.
In those cases we recommend to follow these steps:
- Start the MusicReader App
- First go to "Full Menu" and choose "Sync" and sync the App.
- Then go to to "Mass Edit". There you choose "Batch Delete".
- Press “Select All” to select your complete library.
- Press “Remove Selected”
- After it completes check if the library is empty.
- Not empty? Then please perform the steps again.
- If it’s empty then please go to Playlist screen.
- It will ask you remove all empty playlists, answer with YES.
- Then sync the App with your account by going to "Full Menu" and choose "Sync".
- Do you have a the App installed on other systems? Then do steps 1-10 also on those systems. This to ensure everything is fully removed.
- Then login on www.mrsync.com and check if "Library" and "Playlist" screen is empty.
- If that’s the case your library has been cleared succesfully.
- Go to Add Files again to add new files.
