The Library in MusicReader is the place to find and organize your pieces.
In this section we will give an overview of the functionality.
Image 1 shows how you can get to the Library inside MusicReader.
Finding / Selecting File[edit | edit source]
After clicking library icon in top menu you see the screen in Image 2.
Here you can:
- Search by entering text. 1
- Limiting the library to a folder. 2 See also the next section Folders - Using and Adding.
- Sort the list based on a single column. 3 By default the sorting is on the first column.
- Jump in the list based on first letter of sorted column. 4
- See details about piece without opening it. 5
- Open the piece - simply click the piece itself.
Folders - Using and Adding[edit | edit source]
A piece in MusicReader can be added to one or more folders.
Inside the library you can select a folder to only show files inside that folder.
In this section we will describe how to add and use folders.
Using & Managing Playlists in Library[edit | edit source]
The main usage of folders is to limit the files shown in the library.
So you can then have it for example show files of a single ensemble/band/orchestra .
In Image 3 we show the procedure for limiting the library to a folder.
First you press 1 which will make dropdown 2 appear.
Here you can select the folder to which you want to limit the library.
After you have done that the library will only show the pieces in that folder.
If you want to manage the listed folders then you press "Manage Folders". (3).
Then you see the screen shown in Image 4.
Here you can select a folder in 1.
Then you can add a subfolder by using "Add Folder" 2. This folder will be placed inside the folder selected.
If you press "Remove Folder" 3 then the selected folder will be removed.
This action will not remove any pieces inside your library.
You will still be able to find all pieces under "Complete Library".

The most easy way to add a piece to a folder is when adding the file.

You open the Library and then choose "Edit" 1 and then Folders 2 .
Click the area indicated with 3 to select a folder to edit.
Then you get a screen as shown in Image 6.
Here you can see the pieces currently referenced by the folder 5 .
Clicking on the piece will remove it from the folder.
At the bottom you see the complete library 4 .
Here you can click on piece to add it to the folder.
The piece will then appear in the top list.
